The five w's of Journalism  What happened? Who is the story about? Why did it happen? Where did the story happen? When did the story take place? Writing a story: 'Tupac alive?' #trending on twitter What happened? A blurry, uncertain image of what 'they' thought was tupac walking through the streets of New York alone. Who is the story about?  Conspiracy theories about Tupac still being alive after his assassination in 1996. Why did it happen? After years of many conspiracy theories emerging, from the craziest to the most possible. Someone has physically turned in an image that is evidence to support that he is still alive. Where did the story happen?
In what ways can newspapers incorporate viewpoints and ideologies? Publishers create deeper meaning and ideologies for the audience through the process of encoding and creating symbolic meaning through their articles and their content they publish. Many publishers can use different viewpoints to fuel the dominant ideology that they are trying to covey to the reader/audience. For example: In the Daily Mirror's coverage on the tragic case of a toddlers murder they used a lot of anchorage and dramatised/exaggerated lexis to create their dominant ideology to the reader. They create the main headline:  "Man held after toddler dies in hammer attack"  This headline is very dramatic and the lexis emphasises the brutality of this specific case: 'Hammer attack' which informs the reader on what weapon was brutally used. On front page, the anchorage of highlighted words under certain images or speech: 'Screaming', 'Grim scene' gives the audience insight

Different perspectives: Article:   In what ways can (media products) incorporate  The box hammer secludes the the narrative of the actual story is used to emphasise the seriousness of this article, makes it a proper police investigation. This is an enigma code because the audience/reader doesn't know how or when in this case it was used for. The reader questions this article and what they visually see.  Sentimental photos of the family tells the audience what this article is roughly about. symbolises that they are a happy close family. Order of photos makes the audience think of the things that possibly has happened.  Picture of the baby that tragically died, looking very sad. This is a semiotic code and makes the audience feel guilty and want to read on. The times perspective:  Main headline:  "Man
The today show - Radio 4  Explore how audiences can respond to and interpret the ideological perspectives of (media products). Media language =  Lexis =Dominant ideology = Many have commented that have emerged strong very political issues (the death penalty). This is very significant and caused a massive impact on the reader/audience.  Intertextuality = there is a lot of intertextuality to other opposing news articles about a murder, because this has created a massive impact for the audience there is a massive up roar and references to social rights and laws.  Polysemic readings=  anchorage = audience negotiation ( Stuart Hall)=
